I can name so many deviants who have styles completely mimicking their "favorite artists". Now, I understand that you can't copyright a style, but even so, each artist has their own unique style that makes their art stand out. How unique can your art be if you're copying someone else's style? That style isn't who you are. Not only that, you're taking away the original artist's originality, which is hard to accomplish in the first place. I'm not advising people to go flame anyone who does this. Artists who are guilty of this I encourage to branch out and experiment. Find a style that actually represents YOU.
